Kari joined Armstrong's coaching team in 2019 as the head girls lacrosse coach and just a a few months later, also became the head coach for the Armstrong girls soccer program.  When she's not busy coaching Armstrong girls, she is training soccer players for Coerver Coaching Minnesota and has been with them for 7 years.


Prior to coming to Armstrong, Kari was the head girls soccer coach at Anoka High School for 6 seasons.  At Anoka, she also spent 4 seasons as the assistant girls lacrosse coach, and 3 seasons as an assistant girl’ hockey coach. 

Kari spent 3 years as the women’s assistant soccer coach at St. Catharine College in Kentucky.  Prior to coaching at St. Catharine College, she was a Graduate Assistant for the women’s soccer team at St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. While working and studying in Latrobe, Kari earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. She was also the assistant girl’s lacrosse coach at Latrobe High School for 3 seasons. Before going to PA, Kari started her college-coaching career at the Bemidji State University as the goalkeeping coach. She has also worked for numerous club teams throughout Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. As a soccer player, she was the starting goalkeeper for Bemidji State University (D ll) for 4 years, while earning athlete honors. She was a 4-time All Conference winner, a 3-time All-Region selection, and named to the NCAA All American team along with being Bemidji State Athlete of the Year in 2005. She also completed her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education while attending Bemidji State University.  Kari has taught Physical Education in the Robbinsdale District for 6 years and is currently teaching at Meadow Lake Elementary.
